Navistar, Inc. Retail Sales Representative in Sacramento, California

Position Overview

We are seeking a Retail Sales Representative interested in a rewarding sales career with Navistar. We will train you about products and give you the tools necessary to find customers.

The position will be based at our Sacramento Used Truck Center.

Navistar’s Used Truck Organization (UTO) is a vital business unit which operates 13 Used Truck Centers (UTC's) throughout North America. The Used Truck Organization manages considerable assets gained primarily though new truck trade packages with major U.S. fleet companies. Our UTC’s engage in significant retail, wholesale and export transactions. The majority of inventory consists of our International brand class 8 trucks, with a wide assortment of competing brands.

Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities and document activities in our CRM. Pursue warm leads by making prospecting cold calls over the phone and out in the field as scheduled.

  • Attain truck sales objective through telephone and personal contact with dedicated accounts.

  • Responsible for product knowledge of International products as well as other OEM’s.

  • Prepare customized quotes, present to prospective customers, and assist them through the commercial truck purchasing process.

  • Assist prospects and customers with finance options and processes enable to close deals successfully.

  • Assist in moving vehicles to and from reconditioning service providers when needed.

  • Complete all required documentation as required throughout the sales process.

  • Assist in the checking in and checking out of vehicles.

  • Assist the General Manager in all duties requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

OR

  • At least 2 years outside or inside sales experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDL status (Commercial Driver’s License)

Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated sales ability.

  • Truck or automotive sales experience or experience in a commission environment is preferred.

  • Knowledge of truck specs of International brands and/or competitor brands is preferred

  • Current CDL or willing to get CDL license within six months of employment.

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Benefits and Compensation

Navistar provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices.

The annual base salary for this role is $72K a year + Commission
