Job Description SummaryAs a mechanical maintenance  co-op at our Royal Oak Facility, you will be working within the engineering and maintenance departments as you are attending school at an accredited university or college.

Job Description Under the direction and supervision of senior level Maintenance Team-members, the mechanical maintenance co-op will do the following: Follow and promote all workplace safety rules to internal personal and all contractors. Manage the daily, weekly and monthly maintenance requirements of all plant hilo and crane repairs. Working closely with suppliers to determine needs, schedule work, add requisitions and ensure work is complete. Provide daily cycle counts to the stores personal to comply with audit conditions. Working closely with maintenance team and crib, help identify required spare parts. Work closely with crib and suppliers to return and manage spare component rebuilds, pumps, motors etc Collaborate with engineers on small mechanical and manufacturing projects. Increasing scope over time as assigned Work with engineers and operators on equipment issues, troubleshooting breakdowns, defining and reviewing preventive maintenance plans, schedule contractors for repairs and implementing process improvements. Identify maintenance and reliability problems by observing and studying production equipment and downtime issues. Propose and plan, implement new ideas. Willing to learn and work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and schematics. Willing to ask questions, work independently and offer solutions. All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university or college. Must be authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship. Self motivated, good time keeper, independent. Autocad and 3D modelling Microsoft Office, computer literate Graduation date of April 2025 or later. GPA of 3.0 or higher.
