Job Summary

We currently have an opening for a Sales Trader to join our Environmental Commodities division at Targray in the Netherlands. This role is ideal for a highly motivated and driven individual with a strong sales background and the potential for high achievement. 

As a part of our Carbon Credits Trading desk , the candidate will be trading Carbon Offsets, I-REC’s, GoO’s and EUA’s within the EU ETS.

The candidate will work with our sales trader team and will report to our Head Trader based in Rotterdam. 

Who you are:

We are seeking a highly driven and ambitious native German speaker with a background in finance and/or sales. You demonstrate exceptional proficiency in cold calling and possess outstanding entrepreneurial spirit.  You are self-motivated with a strong hunger for continuous learning and a willingness to actively seek and apply constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and expand a client portfolio leveraging your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate trust.

  • Source and develop leads independently, employing intensive cold calling efforts to overcome obstacles and distinguish yourself in the eyes of clients.

  • Negotiating prices and contract terms.

  • Benefit from our collaborative knowledge-sharing approach across our entities, guaranteeing access to the most up-to-date insights within our respective markets.

  • Research and present recommendations to senior management on new market opportunities.

Requirements

  • Native German speaker and fluent in English.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 1- 5 years’ of relevant work experience

  • Exceptional communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.

  • A natural sales or business development acumen

  • Proficient in cold calling and skilled at devising innovative strategies to attract clients

  • Driven to close deals with a strong appetite for success and achievement.

  • Unwavering determination and a strong drive for excellence, demonstrated through a relentless work ethic and a consistent track record of achieving results.

  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to think critically

  • Exceptional quantitative, logical reasoning, and analytical skills
