JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: This position is responsible for creating mechanical prints using AutoCAD and bill of materials for the production of industrial silos, residential and commercial waste hauling tanks, standard and custom bins, hoppers and tanks. This individual will review specifications and other data to develop mechanical layouts. He/she will work with sales, engineers and clients to understand requirements for projects. Also works with manufacturing to make improvements and resolve issues, as well as purchasing to specify materials for projects. This person must be able to work in a fast-paced engineering environment, and be detail oriented with a continuous-improvement mindset. Natural motivation, positive attitude/aptitude and an outstanding attention to detail are recommended. Responsibilities: Meet with sales, engineering and clients to understand the needs and requirements for a new project or mechanical system. Once material and specifications have been determined, designer begins using CAD software to plan and develop models. (this may include testing and modifying models under different conditions, such as temperature and environment) Create burn templates with AutoCAD for burn tables for tank parts. Work with manufacturing to make improvements and resolve issues. Work in a team based environment to bring projects from concept to completion. Follow strict safety regulations. Assist with other projects as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have a strong work ethic. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Must be well organized and a self-starter. Ability to work in a team environment and/or on an individual basis. Flexible and capable of successfully performing in a fast-paced environment. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements: Proficient in AutoCAD skills. 2 3 years\' experience, preferably within a fast paced engineering environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of fabricated metal products is a plus. Strong math and analytical skills.
