Kymera Independent Physicians Nuclear Med Tech or Nuclear-Med/Multi-Modality Tech in Roswell, New Mexico

Nuclear Med Tech:

Perform tests for diagnosis by preparing and using radioactive drugs. Administer them to patients to create images that cause abnormal areas of the body to appear different from normal images, utilizing Nuclear Camera and Pet-CT. Responsible for explaining imaging procedures to patients and answering any questions. Order all radiopharmaceuticals for patients; complete all quality controls and maintenance. Following physicians prescription, calculate, measure, and record radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received and/or used and those disposed. Perform daily, monthly, quarterly and/or annual Quality Controls on Survey Meter, Dose Calibrator and Well Counter. Maintain the ALARA concept (As Low As Reasonably Achievable concept); ensuring all possible precautions are taken to limit radiation levels while exposing patients to radiation. Communicate with outside organizations via written and/or oral presentations in order to present information to patients, other providers offices, the general public.

Nuclear-Med/Multi-Modality Tech: Under general supervision of a Medical Director and Radiology Manager, performs imaging procedures in for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols in two or more disciplines, with primary focus in Nuclear Medicine. Position requires data analysis and critical thinking skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

3-4 yrs exp.;

  • Associates degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology required. Bachelors degree preferred.

  • New Mexico State License for Nuclear Medicine with image fusion required

  • New Mexico State License for Second Modality required (for multi-modality applicants)

  • CNMT or ARRT (N) required

  • ARRT or other credentials for second modality required (for multi-modality applicants)

  • BLS Required, ACLS preferred

  • Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support of specific modalities.

  • Physical ability to assist patients of various weight classes on/off scanning equipment

  • Ability to work independently with a working knowledge of Federal Regulations.

Job Type: Full-time COVID-19 considerations: Precautions in accordance with CDC Healthcare and NM DOH requirements. Vaccinations preferred but not mandated.
