Job Description:

Summary:

This role is responsible for planning, creating, editing and setting strategies for external corporatewide communications based on the goals of the department and organization. The position will work closely with leaders and representatives throughout the corporation to actively promote the company's mission. The incumbent will also support corporate media relations, issues management, public relations, advertising, and generating other forms of traditional and digital communications for external audiences.

Essential Accountabilities:

Works with senior leaders and content experts to understand the health care landscape, key issues and trends in the industry, and how they could impact our organization.

Manages cross-functional team to examine these corporate-wide and industry issues and trends to develop materials proactively in response to potential stakeholder outreach.

Supports the preparation and implementation of public relations and communications strategies. Assists in preparing news releases, speaking points, stories, digital content, presentation materials and more.

Contributes to highly visible and critical issues and assignments that are not restricted to the Health Plan alone but to the entire corporation.

Quickly compiles urgent messaging based on feedback from multiple stakeholders that is clear, concise, and impactful.

Works with Strategic Communications Content Manager and channel manager to ensure both internal and external communications are aligned and optimized for each channel.

Responds quickly to the market by leveraging reports, news, data, events and more to demonstrate the impact of our organization.

Leads efforts to proactively find and investigate dynamic stories and content that highlight the corporation's mission and impact on our communities.

Serves as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders and leaders within the organization with the ability to provide guidance.

Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.

Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.

Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.

Performs other functions as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or similar discipline with 10 years of experience creating, planning and managing content in a nonprofit, corporate or news media environment.

Executive communications experience is desired.

An understanding of reactive media relations and experience communicating about issues related to the health care industry and business results is desired.

An ability to take complicated business or health care content and make it relevant to the average person. Must be comfortable working with data and finding the story within the numbers.

Prior experience successfully managing projects and leading cross-functional teams.

Strong storytelling, editing and creative thinking skills and proven record of successful communications strategy development and execution.

A history of thinking and acting differently within their own work and among their teams.

Demonstrated experience effectively managing relationships and strategizing with middle and senior levels of management.

Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Ability to lead discussions around communications strategies and tactics and adept at presenting strategy to various groups throughout the organization.

Ability to work independently and to plan and implement multiple communications programs concurrently.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a workstation and working on a computer.

Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.

Compensation Range(s):

Minimum $85, 446 - Maximum $158, 080

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
