Description POSITION TITLE: Nutrition Aide REPORTS TO: Director of Adult Day Services

Pay Range:$16.07 to $20.07 per hour (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position). Full time 32 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) 9:00am to 5:30pm or 10:00am to 6:30pm.

GENERAL SCOPE: Under guidance from the program director is responsible for operation and implementation of the adult care food program. Based on policies, procedures, standards, state and federal regulations. Will also assist in providing nutrition education and assessments. Assists in maintaining multi departmental relations, including, integrating of the dining department with the adult day care department. Assists with the provision of nutrition care throughout the program. EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Minimum 2 years degree in nutrition or related field. Clinical nutrition preferred. Preferred current registration as a registered dietician or certified dietary manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Receive food from central kitchen; check invoice for accuracy, store food promptly and at proper temperature. Assist with distributing food to program for day and afternoon program. Serve meals and snacks as scheduled, following special dietary needs as indicated by nurse and dietitian. Keep food preparation and serving areas clean. Ensure all dietary service records for the adult day program is maintained Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE: One (1) year experience in a community based or related required. Must possess good computer skills.
