University of Rochester 81200 NeuroMedicine Intensive Care Unit - Nurse Mgr in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

Seeking a dynamic individual to manage the NeuroMedicine Intensive Care Unit. This position requires competency to work in a fast-paced, technologically demanding patient care environment including clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and willingness to work on highly diverse multidisciplinary team. The nurse manager is responsible for assessing and addressing patient and staff satisfaction, management of the unit budget, staff education, and optimizing patient flow. This individual is responsible for 24/7 management supported by the unit’s leadership team. The candidate must be flexible, possess excellent communication, collaboration and critical thinking skills, with 5 years ICU experience and an MS in Nursing or equivalent.

Qualifications

Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Manager directs all aspects of patient care, which includes managing nursing personnel and material resources in a cost-effective manner, unit planning and the initiation of innovative clinical and management practices with emphasis on retention strategies.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $47.89 - $67.05

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
