WSB LLC Senior Landscape Architect in Rochester, Minnesota

WSB is looking for an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to lead our Landscape Architecture efforts in our Austin, Houston, or Dallas, TX offices. This person will be responsible for leading and managing all phases of design projects of varying types and sizes from initial client outreach to post-development follow up as well as collaboratively supporting projects led by other groups / individuals. What You Will Do: * Lead the design and project management aspects across diverse projects and clients, guiding them from the initial proposal phase to the issuance of the final invoice. * Ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects in alignment with specified scope, fee budget, and schedule, whether taking the lead or providing support. * Oversee the utilization rates of both yourself and supporting staff involved in your projects, actively managing scope and fee adjustments as needed. * Provide leadership in design, project management, and task management to the team. * Collaborate directly with clients and public entities throughout the design process, overseeing submittal and review procedures mandated by various jurisdictional agencies. * Generate bid documents for projects open to public bidding. * Craft proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs). * Offer mentorship to less experienced professional staff and contribute to recruitment and hiring initiatives to expand the landscape architecture team. * Planning, leading, and participating in client meetings and networking events. * Establishing new client contacts and fostering relationships across all areas of expertise and geographic regions. * Identifying, proposing, and securing projects from both new and existing clients. * Track the utilization rates of both yourself and the supporting staff involved in the projects under your leadership, and manage the coordination of changes in scope and fees. * Offer leadership in design, project management, and task management to the team. What You Will Bring: * Strong understanding of landscape architecture and the design process. * A positive and collaborative team-oriented mindset. * The ideal candidate should possess 8 or more years of experience within a professional design firm, focusing on landscape architecture, with well-developed design and project management capabilities, particularly in public spaces, DOT, and land development. * Bachelor s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program, or Master s Degree in Landscape Architecture combined with a design related undergraduate degree * Professional registration as a Landscape Architect license in Texas, or ability to obtain licensure within 3 months from hire date. * Proven experience with marketing & business development including proposal writing, scope/fee budgets for work. * Demonstrates proficiency in efficiently and profitably managing and delivering projects. * Effective communication skills with internal and external clients. * Displays a willingness and capability to expand our Landscape Architectural services. * Valid driver s license; and a clean driving record. * Our preferred candidate will have experience and relationships within the Austin, TX, Houston, TX, or Dallas, TX regions.
