Job Description Summary

As a Finance Project Controller with us, you'll be involved in managing reporting and controlling requirements of the project portfolio contributing to complex and long-term HVDC projects such as the TenneT 2 GW Projects in the Netherlands and Germany. As a Finance Project Controller you will support Senior Finance Project Controller (SFPC) in managing reporting and controlling requirements of the portfolio with ownership for specific projects within the portfolio.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of all financial movements with regards to revenue, margin, and cash. Ensure that such information is consistent, approved and reconciled on a regular basis in the ERP system.

  • Manage communication and information flows with different stakeholders and functions ensuring accurate consolidated financials of project and understanding partner units’ financial movements.

  • Consolidate, challenge, and forecast trading and billing milestones to ensure consistent consolidated revenue recognition and cash.

  • Responsible for timely and correct booking (margin as sold, current as sold, current forecast, internal flow elimination) from order booking to project completion.

  • Develop strong relationships and ensure continuous communication flows with all project controllers in project participating units to ensure that working assumptions are shared, consistent and reported in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that all financial processes & instructions and internal controls, including DoA, are implemented, robust and compliant.

  • Attend the consolidated project reviews. Support Senior PFC to prepare the following documents for the consolidated project review: consolidated EAS sheets, cash curve, forex revaluation, trading and billing plans.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors, Masters, CPA, or equivalent degree in Finance or 10+ years relevant experience

  • Significant project finance experience, strong project accounting expertise in EPC projects (preferably in the Energy business)

  • Fluency in English, fluency in the local language desirable

  • Experience in SAP (modules PS and SD)

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multicultural team within a complex matrix environment.

  • Problem solver with high integrity and ability to strategically prioritize work.

  • Legally authorized to work in Germany or in the Netherlands
