ManpowerGroup Sr HVAC Engineer in Richland, Washington

Our client, a global engineering, construction, and project management company, is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer to join their team.

As part of the HVAC Mechanical Engineering team, you will be involved in designing and/or procuring plant HVAC systems. Your responsibilities will include preparing technical reports, studies, and design documentation, performing calculations using engineering software, and creating specifications for complex mechanical equipment and supporting systems. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in HVAC mechanical system design and be capable of developing design documents, including ventilation and instrument diagrams (V&IDs) and equipment data sheets, that incorporate applicable design requirements, including nuclear safety standards.

Job Title: Sr. HVAC Engineer

Location: Richland, WA

Pay Range: $37-50/hr. (Depending on experience)

What’s the Job?

  • Collaborate with the HVAC engineering team to design and procure HVAC systems for the plant.

  • Develop technical reports, studies, and design documentation using engineering software.

  • Perform complex calculations and create specifications for HVAC equipment and supporting systems.

  • Ensure designs meet all applicable requirements, including nuclear safety standards.

  • Interface and coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines and the client.

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college with nine (9) years of related experience . In lieu of a degree, 15 years of related experience is required.

  • Related experience includes, but is not limited to, V&IDs, calculations, and specifications for Mechanical/HVAC systems and equipment in power plants, refineries, or chemical process facilities.

  • Solid understanding of industry codes, standards, and regulations.
