Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Técnico de EHS

Propósito del puesto.

  • Inspeccion, vigilancia de las operaciones de la planta en materia de seguridad y medio ambiente

Responsabilidades

  • Elaboracion de etiquetas para residuos y materiales quimicos

  • Traducción y captura de la información de las Hojas de datos de Seguridad de Materiales en la base de datos.

  • Impartición de cursos a contratistas relacionados con ISO 14001 y Seguridad del contratista.

  • Recopilación de información de producción para el reporte anual ambiental (COA) al gobierno según corresponda.

  • Recoleccion de información de producción relacionada con los aspectos ambientales (ISO 14001)

  • Control de las bitácoras de generación de residuos peligrosos.

  • Elaboración de ayudas visuaesl de residuos peligrosos y residuos de manejo especial

  • Elaboración de gafetes de la política ambiental.

  • Reporte mensual de mezclas de residuos peligrosos

  • Elaboración del reporte mensual de material químico expirado

  • Requerimiento de información a contratistas para el programa de seguridad de contratistas.

  • Verificación de la limpieza de las trampas de grasa.

  • Inspeccion y detecciones de condiciones y actos inseguros en las areas de produccion y departamentos y areas de soporte.

  • Elaboración de ordenes de compra y requisición de firmas para procesar dichas ordenes

Conocimientos mínimos y habilidades requeridas.

Educación.

  • Carrera Técnica en Ingeniería Ambiental y de Seguridad, Química o afín

  • Carrera Profesional (terminada, trunca o en curso) en Ingeniería Ambiental y de Seguridad, Química o afín.

Experiencia laboral.

  • 1 a 2 años en puesto similar

  • Experiencia en la industria

C. Habilidades Adicionales.

  • Conocimiento en legislación de Seguridad y Medio Ambiente

  • Excelente actitud de servicio y alto sentido de la urgencia

  • Buen desempeño ante el trabajo a presión

  • Ingles (Preferible)

Actividades extraordinarias.

A. Todas las actividades listadas son como ejemplo, de ilustración, pero no limitan a esta posición para desarrollar y aprender nuevas actividades encaminadas a la mejora del área de EHS.

B. Esta posicion contribuye básicamente en el cumplimiento de auditorias internas y externas a los sistemas de EHS , de los cuales son entera responsabilidad para obtener buenos resultados, por ejemplo ISO 14000, Safety Coorporate, TL, etc.
