ABOUT THE ROLE

As a HSE Engineer II you will serve as a functional HSE expert, providing Safety and Health program leadership and technical support to the facility. Work within robust operating and management systems to reduce risk. Strengthen systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and Honeywell requirements with special emphasis on Safety programs. Partner with business leaders and employees to continuously improve HSE culture, awareness and accountability in support of business objectives.

This role is located at Honeywell Aerospace manufacturing site in Redmond, WA.

The salary range for this position is ($83,000 - $100,000). The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Integrate HSE processes and safe work practices into daily operations

  • Management and continual improvement of safety programs including Machine Guarding, Pressure Testing, Electrical Safety, Class 1.4 Explosives, Contractor Safety, Hand Tools, Hot Work, Housekeeping, Combustible Dust, Fire Safety, Fall Protection, Vehicle Safety, and VPP programs

  • Lead HSE initiatives and continuous HSE improvement to support achievement of site goals and ensure zero harm to everyone

  • Drive Excellence and engagement in HSE through management, leadership and employee involvement, worksite risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, and HSE training

  • Deploy and manage HSE initiatives to continually improve performance of assigned programs and processes

  • Develop and implement safety programs to maintain compliance with all HSE regulatory and company requirements

  • Oversight and project management of HSE projects as needed

  • Perform site compliance reviews and safety auditing as needed

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience in HSE

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or Engineering

  • CSP or ASP Certification

  • HSE program/project development, implementation and management experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Safety Auditing experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Innovative thinking to create continuous improvement

  • Experience with HSE management systems

  • Experience with VPP programs

  • Working knowledge of computer skills
