Actalent Electrical Test Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Description:

The Sr. EE Test Engineer will support the development, test, operation of the hardware test for various satellite avionics and hardware and leading the review. This work will include cross-functional coordination to determine test requirements and capabilities. You will ensure HW testing supports both development work and end-product validation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering

  • 3+ years of work experience in Automotive, Robotics, Power Electronics, Consumer Electronics, or combination

  • Hands-on testing and debugging programmable electronics hardware using electrical test equipment (multi-meters, oscilloscopes, Phase noise analyzer, etc.)

  • Experienced with testing Clocks (eye diagram, phase noise, etc.)

  • Experienced with testing Power supply (DC, AC ripple, transient response, load step)

  • Experienced to look at failures, and root cause the issue and provide the solution

  • Experience creating detailed hardware test plans and procedures, driving products through verification and early manufacturing runs

  • Experience with engineering documentation (electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, requirements documentation, interface control, version control)

  • Familiarity and experience with several communications protocols (e.g. SPI, I2C, I3C)

  • Knowledge of engineering best practices & patterns for the full software/hardware development life cycle, including design reviews, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and certification

  • Knowledge of hardware and software tools for test automation (e.g. Python, C/C++ etc.)
