Typical Day in the Role

  • Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to close financial records for monthly quarterly and yearly perspective. They are the ones that makes sure revenue and receivables are recorded before other parts of corporate accounting create SCC filing for quarterly and annually. Support questions from other finance teams - how revenue grows/declines and why.

  • Key projects: This role will contribute to handling a lot of commercial deals and processes. Large commercial deals - such as azure. They might need to adjust books by journal entries.

  • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of a minimum of 50 meetings chasing after certain tasks if things do not look right in financials - talk to system financial persons and checking for answers to solve problems 50 heads down assessment process to assess recalculations journal entries etc..

Candidate Requirements

  • Years of Experience Required: 10 overall years of experience in the field though Sponsor is flexible with 6 YOE if candidate fits all the right needs.

  • Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.

  • Disqualifiers: Candidates with only experience in financial planning & forecasting. Sponsor is looking for someone with accounting AND Financial Planning experience OR just Accounting experience.

  • Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain a CPA license strongly preferred and if the person has experience in public accounting huge plus.

  • Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines and quality of journal entries all entries need to be reviewed

Summary:

The main functions of a Financial Analysis Controls are to gather and analyze financial information will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical Financial Analysis Controls is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • 10 years financial and/or accounting experience required.
