Karl's Inc Corporate Sales Professional - Aberdeen in Rapid City, South Dakota

A Sales Professional performs all the activities and duties necessary to properly conduct business with our valued customers. This includes understanding professional selling practices, learning necessary product knowledge as well as engaging in on-going training for selling success. A Sales Professional will be called upon to help load and stock merchandise and may be called upon to assist in product receipts from time to time. A Sales Representative must be able to competently function on a computer in regards to our inventory system and applications such as Word and Excel to perform necessary job duties. Sales Professionals must be organized and be able to coordinate customer communications for follow-up either to ensure satisfaction on a purchase or close a customer lead or quote. Sales Professionals will be called upon from time to time to handles incidents of customer dissatisfaction, these cases must be handled with care and professionalism. At times a Sales Professional may be called to assist in a product delivery or installation. Sales Professionals have the responsibility to maintain the selling floor and selling areas in showroom condition; This includes stocking merchandise, signage, floor and product cleanliness, as well as sales area maintenance. Because this position deals primarily with the customer on a professional sales floor, proper appearance and grooming are necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in prompt manner to ensure they know they are welcome at Karls

  • Assist customers in the selection of their products by qualifying their needs and answering questions

  • Process sales accurately through Karls STORIS system

  • Coordinate customer delivery and installation as necessary

  • Handle and process incoming calls and service calls and related scheduling as necessary

  • Mandatory follow-up with customers as necessary and required in a timely fashion

  • Maintain the sales floor and sales counter to a showroom condition

  • Stock merchandise as required to maintain the showroom

  • Conducting inventories with Store team as necessary

  • Ensure paperwork has serial numbers as required for inventory control

  • Invoicing Sales Orders immediately upon final delivery of product

  • Collecting proper amount and type of payment including minimum down payments for orders

  • Maintain store sales floor pricing.

  • Proactively participating in on-going training efforts to maximize sales

  • Work to achieve personal and store sales goals

  • May need to assist in Warehouse and Delivery activities on occasion

  • Miscellaneous Duties as assigned
