Job Information

Aerotek Tig Welder in Plymouth, Minnesota

Description:

  • Primary job duty will be Tig Welding

  • Will be performing Turntable TIG Welding - foot operated

  • Will also do some overhead welding

  • Most of work they do will be on hydraulic pump liners

  • Will also be working on formed hydraulic tube assemblies, fabricated tubular parts and tube manifolds, custom tube assemblies and manifolds

  • The welding they will be doing is on round thin wall tubing (not flat steel!!)

  • 80% of the material is mild steel and 20% will be on some stainless steel

  • Will perform fitting to tubings or Tubing to Tubing

  • Most runs are high production and shorter (average order is 50 pieces)

  • This is a good company to learn and get into tube and pipe welding

  • Christmas bonus is one full 40 hour week of pay

  • 2 weeks of starting PTO (negotiable if realistic)

  • 6 days of sick pay (if you don’t use it, it’s paid out at the end of the year. If you use 3 days, you’re paid out 3 days of pay instead of 6 days) 48 total hours.

  • Individual medical plans, company covers majority of the cost and low deductible plan

  • Stock plan for employees based on company performance (think of it as a separate 401k that the company contributes money to)

  • 401k retirement plan (unsure on exact company match but it’s a solid amount)

  • Very tenured work force and don’t do layoffs.

  • On avg. employees can receive 10-20 hours of OT every week.

  • They give out end of the year bonuses that account for 5% of your yearly salary. Sometimes is more depending on sales that year
