As the Industrial Electrical Technician with our Advanced Manufacturing Group, you build and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in Direct Object Printing, an innovative eco-friendly printing technology. Plastipak is known for our industry-leading technology, and we offer job security in a supportive and forward-looking work environment. You Will: Apply your skills to build and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including electronic, motor, pneumatic, conveyor systems, vision systems, production equipment, and plant support machines. Use tools, such as Oscilloscopes, Digital Voltmeters, Signal Generators, and Signal Analyzers to test and calibrate equipment. Perform tasks, including PCB prototyping, electronics testing, surface mount connector soldering, PLC/HMI Panel building, programming, and networking (PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems). Troubleshoot electrical panels and components, repair or replace defective parts, make adjustments, or install special function and structural parts. Grow your knowledge and skills, such as working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs as well a wide variety of training & on-the-job experiences You Have: An Associate Degree, equivalent education from an electronics program, Military training, or combination of education and experience Technical electrical experience with performing tasks including testing, troubleshooting, and making repairs Soldering skills Functional skills using tools, such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, signal generators, and signal analyzers to test and calibrate equipment.
