Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Process new items and rotate stock on shelf as needed. Notifies of any discrepancies or damages regarding the incoming materials.

  • Keep efficient par levels for patient floor inventories and manage them to support distribution operations

  • Maintain and deliver supplies to serviced supply areas with inventory based on set par levels

  • Accurately check par stock areas and replenish inventory appropriately.

  • Identify inactive and outdated items. Review stock status with manager to identify items for deletion or inventory reduction.

  • Check for expired products. Properly dispose of expired products and replenish inventory appropriately.

  • Fill material requests and deliver those supplies. Pick, pack and deliver stores requisitions.

  • Deliver equipment to the appropriate hospital location

  • Transport, process and store specific equipment and carts, while maintaining records.

  • Cleans and inventories code carts and equipment, and returns to appropriate hospital location in a timely manner

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned work area and maintain supply areas according to regulatory standards.

  • Follow all directions and complete all job tasks given to you by management. Support all improvement decisions made by management

  • Cross trained in all areas within department including receiver

  • Responsible for sorting daily mail into proper location

  • Mandatory participation in the physical inventory

  • Work cooperatively and politely with others within the department and throughout the hospital to promote teamwork necessary for a productive and harmonious work environment. Support your other department members as needed.

  • Promote the professional image of the position and department through neat appearance and responsible behavior

Education/Experience Required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent: written and verbal English skills at a 12th grade level.

  • Computer literacy required

Physical/Environmental Requirements

This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.
