The Development Coordinator provides support for all fundraising activities consistent with securing philanthropic support for Gosnold, including donor relations, stewardship, event management, communications, & project management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Database Management & Research Manage the timely acknowledgment of all donations & ensure that all donations are properly recorded in Bloomerang. Ensure data integrity in both Bloomerang & Donor Search through accurate data entry & ongoing clean-up efforts. Utilize data from both Bloomerang & Donor Search to prepare thorough & accurate research on prospects & donors & create materials for cultivations & solicitation visits. Conduct ongoing prospect research into individuals, foundations & corporations for event sponsorships, annual fund gifts & major gifts. Donor Relations & Events Regular outreach via email & phone to secure personal meetings with high-net-worth donors & prospects in collaboration with department leadership. Make travel arrangements for these meetings, if applicable. Join department leadership in personal meetings with donors & prospects. With direction from department leadership & support from the Marketing Team, plan & execute events & strategize the best approach for each event. Manage memoriam gifts & communications with families & donors. Identify prospecting/networking opportunities. Marketing Assist in the design, production & distribution of recurring appeals, newsletters, invitations & save-the-dates & other donor communication materials. Work with print house, mail house & post office to coordinate production & timely mailing of all pieces mentioned above. Work closely with Marketing Team to ensure that Gosnold?s nonprofit status & need for fundraising dollars is apparent throughout social media platforms. Create fundraising social media campaigns. Perform all other duties as assigned. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, &/or abilities required to perform the job. Education: Highschool Diploma required; Bachelor?s Degree strongly preferred. Experience: Minimum three (3) years? experience in marketing & communications or development, experience with content management systems, experience with project management & event planning. Proficiency in the following programs: MS Office including Word, Excel & PowerPoint, CRM & database management preferred but not required. Exceptionally strong interpersonal & organizational skills with attention to detail & accuracy, excellent oral & written communications skills, & discretion around the handling of confidential data required. Ability to work independently, multitask & take initiative on projects, must be detail oriented & ability to prioritize. Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations: Valid MA Driver?s License required.
