FS Companies are committed to ensuring the continued profitability for the company, their owners, and their customers, while enacting to help the environment and greater good. * PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT* Under the direction of Energy Department Manager, generates profitable sales in the assigned territory through target marketing, competitive analysis, and providing value-added energy products, services, and recommendations. Ensures the credit worthiness of customers and promotes credit programs as marketing tools. * ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Drive truck to deliver petroleum and related products to customers’ homes, farms, or places of business. See that delivery is made according to customer requirements. Call on prospective customers to solicit new business. Prepares order forms and sales contracts. Assure all product is properly billed upon delivery. Provide month-end inventory information. Collect accounts from customers and records transactions on customer sales. Not sell to anyone that is currently beyond the 60-day credit policy. Develop target market prospect lists of new and upgradeable patrons. Stay currently informed on technical information and product changes and keeps customers and key prospects informed. Call on patrons immediately when a complaint on either product or service occurs. Maintain the truck according to company standards. Maintain bulk plant facility in a professional manner. Adhere to the uniform policy and maintain the appropriate professional image. * OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS* Perform other duties as assigned. * REQUIREMENTS* Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Normally requires route delivery and sales experience to demonstrate organization and time management skills. Normally requires an Energy Management Specialist (EMS) certification or the ability to obtain one to demonstrate advanced energy sales training and experience. Understanding of energy products along with sales ability, account collection, record keeping, and reporting. Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proven professional communication, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills. Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated math skills and the ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, etc. Ability to use the computer to enhance business processes. Demonstrated core competencies including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid CDL license with Hazmat endorsement, be insurable to operate the required vehicle, and have the ability to travel independently. Must pass the DOT physical and drug test prior to employment and continue to pass these tests anytime required thereafter while employed with the company. Must be able to work hours beyond those considered normal. Frequently exposed and required to work in extreme weather conditions.
