ABOUT THE JOB:

The Customer Master Data Management Specialist will be part of the Marketing team at Willscot and will own and maintain customer and prospect databases in Salesforce. This individual will collaborate with various departments, including IT, marketing, commercial sales, customer service, collections, finance and operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Assess current state of customer / prospect databases at Willscot and develop one-time clean up process and ongoing process to avoid duplicates

  • Define data quality standards and data governance principles to maintain a high level of data integrity and avoid duplicates

  • In partnership with IT, define customer master data governance policies including - data ownership, access controls, and ensuring compliance

  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate customer master data across different systems and platforms. This will likely involve implementing data integration tools and technologies to streamline the flow of information

  • Assist in the migration of customer data during system upgrades, implementations, or data consolidation projects. This requires careful planning and execution to avoid data inconsistencies

  • Collaborate with marketing, commercial and pricing teams to define and implement customer segmentation strategies based on customer / prospect master data to facilitate targeted marketing, nuanced pricing, personalized customer interactions

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization related to customer master data management. This may involve the adoption of new technologies or methodologies to enhance efficiency

  • Serve as the SME on customer and prospect data management best practices

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, marketing, finance, economics, or a related field

  • 5+ years of progressive experience managing customer / prospect data in salesforce or other comparable CRM

  • Experience defining data quality standards and data governance principles to maintain a high level of data integrity and avoid duplicates

  • High level of proficiency using excel, SQL and other query tools to extract and transform data

  • Fluency using Tableau and other similar visualization tools to produce report

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to tailor level of detail based on audience
