WM Quality Manager in Phoenix, Arizona

I. Job Summary Provides professional expedient support to internal Waste Management Compactor Solutions Asset teams to assist them in quality assurance by utilizing Greenleaf managed equipment. Conducts quality training and develops material to educate team on the variety of compaction equipment / monitors and their quality requirement via spec sheets, manuals, charts, websites, illustrations, and videos. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

  • Assists in establishing strategic quality plans to achieve company objective, while remaining in line with corporate objective.

  • Maintains company quality guideline to provide intrinsic value for prospective and current Greenleaf suppliers.

  • Develops and executes quality programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and reliability with each vendor.

  • Visits suppliers, if needed, to identify opportunities for increase quality and develop specific assurance campaign

  • Manages the quality budget and prepares reports for management team

  • Plans and execute quality related activities including print, specs, trade show, inspections, AAR report and video.

  • Helps establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout manufacturing materials and quality.

  • Provides post-inspection reports & surveys, analysis, and status reports on ongoing quality campaign for effectiveness.

  • Manages any contract terms with outside agencies and suppliers.

  • Manages development, production, and distribution of WMCS quality materials to support sales and marketing programs.

  • Plans, promotes, and executes vendor meetings with Greenleaf asset team, and community, industry, or trade events.

  • Develops, writes, and edits quality proposals, presentations, and marketing support material for WMCS.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of supervisory employees. This includes:

IV. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Required: Associate’s Degree, or equivalent experience and three- five years of project or quality management experience plus 1 year in direct business-to-business sales

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience and three- five years of project or quality management experience plus 1 year in direct business-to-business environment.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

None required.

Candidate with Six Sigma Yellow or Green belt is highly desirable. Demonstratable knowledge of DMAIC, TQM, or APQP

The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
