As theCommunity Center Manageryour roll is to help to facilitate the smooth running of the Community Center to support the Wilson School District family. This is afull-time exempt positionwith benefits with a competitivehourly salaryof\$23.00 - \$25.00 per hour (based on experience); 12-month school year schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet visitors, students, parents, community members, and Cheerful/positive personality with customer service focus.
  • Assist with the uniform program and enrolling Also, assist with City of Phoenix resources such as rent assistance, utilities, City of Phoenix neighborhood services, legal services, medical resources, etc.
  • Help sort and distribute various items donated to the community

  • Coordinate and facilitate outside programs and classes.
  • Assist with school sponsored activities such as the Back-to-School Uniform Driver, Fall Festival, Neighborhood Clean-Up, Food Drive, Spring Health Fair, etc.
  • Assist with Christmas sponsored activities and the Adopt a Family
  • Ability to communicate with parents of limited English Language Skills (English/Spanish Bilingual skills preferred).
  • Receive and screen incoming phone calls and respond, as
  • Perform general office activities such as maintaining a filing system, computer spreadsheet, completing routine forms, and responding to questions.
  • Assists in the development and dissemination of information regarding all program offerings and schedules as
  • Serve as liaison between home and school by being the communication link between the school and homeless families when families are not accessible during school hours.
  • Actively recruit homeless children to include collaboration with neighboring school districts and shelters.
  • Facilitate school registration by assisting in obtaining appropriate school records, immunizations, and other required paperwork, applications, and screenings for homeless students.
  • Coordinate district transportation for homeless students.
  • Assist and facilitate in identifying and eliciting the cooperation of potential community resources.
  • Assist homeless families in obtaining appropriate clothing, financial assistance, day care, food boxes, job training, housing, health or counseling services.
  • Assist homeless families in enrollment of school sponsored parenting, computer, literacy, and tutoring classes.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and conducting in-service programs for homeless families related to education programs.
  • Serve on the Student Assistance Team (SAT).
  • Transports parents to school meetings, i.e. Migrant, Title 1, etc.
  • Perform other duties related to education programs as might be required.
