Principal Financial Group Associate Director - Institutional Wealth Management (West) in Phoenix, Arizona

What You'll Do

This role drives sales activities for our Institutional Wealth management within the RIA channel throughout the West (OR, WA, CA, AZ, ID, WY). This position partners closely with the Internal Wholesaler within territory for collective success in building RIA relationships. Accountable for achieving sales targets and maintaining relationships within the channel covering our ETF's, Separately Managed Accounts, Mutual Funds, Private capabilities.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, recommend and implement sales plans, activity reports and rotation schedules with a focus on growing market share.

  • May provide input on marketing, product development, shareholder/broker communications and integration of campaigns with broker dealers and fund wholesaling teams.

  • Highest level of integrity and presentation skills.

*We are open to hiring above the Associate Director level for the right skills and experience.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, plus 2 + related industry experience required with a strong preference to RIA experience.

  • FINRA Series 7 & 63 Licenses required with the ability to meet firm standards for registration within applicable jurisdictions.

  • You’ll be required to become a non-registered fingerprint person of PFD and PSI.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.

  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across different business lines.

  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships.

  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

  • Travel required 50-75%. As a required part of the role, candidate must be able to provide personal transportation to business related events.

  • This position may be subject to SEC restrictions on personal political contributions.

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

  • Prefer at least two years of prior internal or external wholesaling experience and CIMA, CMA, CFA, or CFP designation.

Salary Range Information

This position offers a competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary combined with incentive earnings. The base salary will provide financial stability, while the incentive component offers additional earning potential based on performance metrics.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$63750 - $100000 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
