RiverMead Prep Cook in Peterborough, New Hampshire

We are currently accepting applications for an enthusiastic and committed Full Time Prep Cook to join our culinary team. We offer our staff a comprehensive salary/benefits package including a generous PTO policy and shift differentials. Base pay starting at $17.28 per hour.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepares cold entrees, appetizers, salads and desserts, following preparation sheets and provided recipes for dining venues, health care center and special functions. Includes accompaniments and garnishes as appropriate. Gives special attention to eye-appeal/presentation.

  • Performs food preparation using proper food handling techniques. Utilizes techniques which comply with safety and sanitation rules and practices. Completes required food temperature checks. Tastes all food items prepared.

  • Completes preparation records and stores food items properly at close of meal service.

  • Cleans work area and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum of six months server training and/or food service experience required; actual cooking experience preferred.

  • Must be self-directed and dependable.

  • Must be a team player with a can do attitude!
