Identify and/or implement test and measurement system improvements that increase test throughput and equipment performance. Troubleshoot day-to-day reliability test equipment issues. Support existing equipment performance and reliability including solar simulators, environmental chambers, lightsoak chambers and laboratory measurement equipment. Assist with worldwide equipment and test method replication and Standard Test Qualifications methods. Education/Experience: 2-year technical school in Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Maintenance field with at least 3 years of experience. High School Diploma - Must have 5+ years of experience in a related field, (i.e. Semiconductors, Automotive etc.) Required Skills/Competencies: Proven mechanical skills General electrical/electronic knowledge Knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work with minimal supervision Self-directed, proactive approach to problem solving Ability to read prints and suggest modifications as required. Good written and oral communication skills Excellent problem solving skills Essential Responsibilities: Execute planned experiments and equipment qualification testing (collect and analyze data and report results). Develop, design, support new reliability test equipment installations. Assist with the different in-house and outdoors module reliability testing and activities. Responsible for solving day-to-day test equipment issues. Identifies and recommends opportunities for cost savings. Identify and implement long-term reliability test equipment improvements. Develop and update internal documentation including drawings, work instructions, equipment lock-out-tag-out, and equipment specs. Ability to learn the detailed operation and component functions of solar simulators, environmental chambers, ligthsoak chambers, measurement instruments and other related equipment required. Basic to advanced experience using electro-mechanical test and measurement equipment desired. Responsible for interacting with internal associates and equipment suppliers to complete assigned projects. Basic to advanced knowledge of various measurement techniques. Provide training to equipment users. Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards. Reporting Relationships: This position will report to Test and Measurement Engineer, Rel Lab Equipment Group Travel: 0% - 5% (On occasion/as needed for training, etc.) Estimated Hourly Range: $22.00 - $28.00 Estimated hourly range US Physical Requirements: Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day. Will climb stairs on a frequent basis. Will lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction. Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis. Will push or pull up to 27 pounds of force on an occasional basis. Will push or pull up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis. 20/40 vision in each eye (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green is required.
