Erickson Living Preventative Maintenance Technician in Peabody, Massachusetts

Brooksby Village is a beautiful 90-acre continuing care retirement community located just 20 minutes from Boston in Peabody, Massachusetts. We’re part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses in 11 states—and growing.

Our Facilities/ Engineering Team is looking for a talented maintenance professional who is eager to grow!

This position performs scheduled comprehensive predictive and preventive maintenance procedures of residential and public area heat pumps. No travel required.

How you will make an impact:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance procedures on residential and public area heat pumps, including but not limited to filter changes, visual inspection of units, etc., while following manufacturer’s recommendations.

  • Inspect the condensate drain and pan, along with performing any repairs found to be necessary and the addition of water treatment tablets to the condensate drain.

  • Check the operation of the unit and lubricate the fan motor.

  • Inspect all apartment smoke detectors.

  • Complete all issued work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed along with all prescribed/pertinent equipment information.

  • Responsible for maintaining the proper levels of material/supplies necessary to ensure the timely and efficient completion of necessary tasks.

  • Perform additional duties requested by the Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance/Maintenance & Engineering Manager to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the community.

What you will need:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.

  • Basic understanding of HVAC maintenance. Must have the ability to adjust to new industry techniques and become familiar with new equipment as required.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with residents and staff

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
