North Shore Bank Assistant Branch Manager (Peabody, MA) in Peabody, Massachusetts

POSITION SUMMARY

Assists with the overall management of branch office. Assists the Branch Manager with maintaining an operationally sound branch by adhering to policies and procedures, and achieving satisfactory audit and security reviews. Assists Manager in achieving branch sales goals through individual sales accountability and coaching/leading branch staff to recommend additional products and services. Serves as role model exemplifying exceptional customer service skills, delivering an experience that is consistently “well north” of expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates an outstanding customer experience. Leading by example and monitoring branch staff to deliver same “well north” experience

  • Provides prompt courteous & efficient service, in a polite friendly manner, without exception.

  • Promptly onboards customers to follow-up on future needs, electronic services and to insure satisfaction

  • Assists with management of branch office by scheduling staff and coordinating the work flow.

  • Guides and advises subordinates in the more complex phases of their work such as

Customer transactions, escalated customer issues, account set ups etc.

  • Holds meetings and coaching sessions with branch staff.

  • Assists colleagues in systems/procedural/policy training to insure proficiency

  • Provides consistently superior sales results. Achieves individual sales goals assigned.

  • Participates in strategies to achieve branch goals and internal sales campaigns.

  • Directs, guides and coaches subordinates in activities and conversations to achieve branch goals

  • May be asked to schedule/conduct outside business development calls

  • Abides by Bank policies relating to confidentiality of customer information.

  • Responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of all branch areas.

  • Performs all functions of a Head Teller , Personal Banker and CSR II when necessary to operate branch office.

  • Resolves inquiries, requests and complaints from customers, documenting in Contact Management System (CRM)

  • Provides input on/or conducts performance evaluations & feedback during the interview process. Assists Branch Manager in the administration of the salary budget and recommendations of merit increases, promotions and disciplinary action as needed..

  • Interviews clients for home equity lines of credit and personal loans. Submits applications, collects supporting documentation and follows loan through to close.

  • Assumes responsibility for the timely submission of reports, audits, and other management requirements.

  • Plans and participates in community activities.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of supervisory/management experience in a retail banking environment

  • Must have a history of solid sales and customer service

  • Strong knowledge of bank operations

  • Strong knowledge of both teller and CSR activities

  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational verbal and written skills

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule

  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented

  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize

  • Notary and NMLS are required
