ALRE Program Analyst, Senior

Job Responsibilities:

Will provide program/project support to the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Program Office (PMA-251). In supporting the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) and Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) Team, tasks include applying analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives; analyzing requirements, status, budget and schedules; and performing management, technical, or business case analyses. Other duties may include collecting, completing, organizing, and interpreting data relating to aircraft/project acquisition and product programs; tracking program/project status and schedules; and applying government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management. Some travel will be required. Positional duties may include other tasks on an as-needed basis. Position is located at NAS Patuxent River, MD and includes a hybrid (in-office and telework) work environment. Requisition #ESI0091.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Requires an MA/MS degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience performing duties as described above. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: BA/BS degree with an additional two (2) years of experience; OR an AA/AS degree with an additional four (4) years of experience OR a high school diploma/GED and an additional six (6) years of experience.
  • Must be a US citizen, have a valid state drivers license, and must possess an active DoD Secret-level security clearance.
  • Experience with NAVAIR Acquisition Management System (AMS) Procurement Management Tool (PMT) and Common Spend Plan Tool (CSPT), Acquisition Program Health Monitoring (APHM), Acquisition Management (ACQ MAT), Clik tools, and MS Office Products (including Project) programs is highly desired/preferred.
