Bollinger Mississippi Shipbuilding Welder C (1910) in Pascagoula, Mississippi

This is a Welder C position with a company in Pascagoula, MS.

Summary: Welds together structural metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions.

Responsibilities: Utilizes knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials including the specifications of the particular equipment to be used in the process. Must be able to weld butts and bulbs in all positions and pass Ultrasonic (UT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) test methods. Tank testing and associated duties as required.

Requirements: The ability to pass a welding test in the overhead and vertical positions based on certifications being sought. Prior experience as a welder or vocational training is acceptable.
