This individual will serve a key function in overseeing Langan’s professional licensing and insurance programs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in close collaboration with internal leadership and support groups to maintain licensing compliance, understand the business’s growth strategy and associated risk, and help manage overall insurance program, including renewal, certificate of insurance process and contract compliance. Job Responsibilities Proactively manage professional licensing as it relates to the firm’s compliance and expansion, effectively minimizing risk and maximizing opportunity.Effectively track Langan’s licenses and deadlines on a firmwide level to ensure timely execution of renewal dates and other licensing deadlines.Leverage software and systems to accurately track all professional and company licenses throughout the firm and enhance current processes accordingly.Coordinate with state boards in obtaining and maintaining current license requirements and protocols.Research requirements for licensing in new jurisdictions. Effectively solicit and obtain required information, and accurately prepare applications for new licenses and authorizations.Partner with internal stakeholders on solicitations for license-specific information in response to RFPs and other relevant documents.Prioritize license management of responsible engineers and other qualifying professionals to mitigate lapses and company risk.Maintain subject matter expertise of state-specific requirements in alignment with the firm’s operations.Perform other duties as requested. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, legal studies, or a related field5+ years of work-related experienceExperience within professional services, particularly the architecture/engineering industry, highly preferredUnderstanding of corporate structure and governanceUnderstanding of multiple lines of insurance with an emphasis on professional and general liabilityProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Internet research; Adobe ProfessionalExcellent planning and organizational skillsStrong attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate complex issue to management teamStrong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to work independently and propose solutions for consideration by executive teamSound judgment capability and ability to maintain confidentialityOccasional travel to other office locations, as needed.
