Warehouse Helper

Job Information:

  • Located in Parlin, NJ

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Paying $17 per hour to start

    Warehouse Helper Responsibilities:

  • This company is an industrial parts distributor. They sell parts for machines and factory equipment. This person assists with preparing customer orders, packaging product and loading / unloading trucks.

  • Picks and packs industrial orders, builds pallets and stages material for shipment.

  • Used power tools, hand tools such as skill saw, hammers drill, screw driver to assist building freight crates to ship product

  • RF scanning

  • Operates palletizer (shrink wrap) and wraps completed pallets

  • Accurately follows instructions, including detail Amazon instructions

  • Uses various shipping software to create shipping labels such as FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldWide, etc.

  • Double checks order accuracy before shipping

  • Loads tucks with customer orders, including private haulers like UPS, FedEx, etc. using pallet jacks, manually carrying materials and sit-down forklifts.

  • Unloads materials from trucks

  • Stages then stows incoming material to appropriate locations in warehouse, RF scanning

  • Assures received items match order before breaking down

  • Maintains cleanliness throughout warehouse at all times.

  • Operates machinery to cut customer order down to correct size (training provided)

    Warehouse Helper Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Valid New Jersey driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

  • At least two (2) years of continuous experience at one warehouse without lapse in employment along with positive references, including favorable inquires on past attendance. Job hoping (more then two employers in a given year) is not desirable but may be considered.

  • Training on our forklift will be provided and we look for basic forklift experience.
