DuPont Electronics & Communications has an opening for a Maintenance Area Manager I at the Parlin facility located in Parlin, NJ. This position provides leadership (24/7) for all site Maintenance, Utilities Operations, Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) Storeroom at this union represented facility. This position is also responsible for continuous improvement initiatives in safety performance, equipment uptime, cost management, and MRO inventory control at this multi-business facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion a proactive safety strategy that will drive a “Zero Incident” culture across all of the site’s Maintenance and Utilities functions

  • Coach, counsel, and develop the department’s direct and indirect reports

  • Direct and manage the site maintenance staff to implement best maintenance practices and provide technical expertise to reduce costs and improve process uptime and asset reliability

  • Control maintenance expenditures within budget requirements by monitoring expenditures, adjusting priorities, and forecasting maintenance needs

  • Coordinate with engineering group for capital project executions to ensure effective use of capital funds

  • Direct the planning and scheduling program, and its effectiveness, through the use of established benchmarks and parameters

  • Establish and monitor key measures to ensure that a comprehensive and effective maintenance and reliability program is in place and that the Maintenance Excellence Process is practiced

  • Administer programs, methods, systems, and practices for reducing costs and improving employee and plant efficiency, safety, productivity, and reliability

Qualifications

  • BS degree in engineering, BSME or BSEE preferred or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 6 years industrial manufacturing experience with a minimum of 2-3 years in a maintenance supervisory position

  • Experience with maintenance execution with the use of the Work Management Process (WMP)

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • SAP PM experience

  • Demonstrated experience in managing turnaround/PM planning, scheduling, and execution

  • Manufacturing experience which includes exposure to MIQA, SHE and Quality

  • Budget management experience preferred

  • DPS or Lean Manufacturing Methodology a plus

  • Greenbelt Certification
