Sartorius Field Service Engineer - Oxfordshire in United States

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our LPS Services Team. You will have a qualification in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or bioengineering and experience as a service engineer in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Do you have experience working with capital equipment in a regulated environment? or do you have experience installing and repairing equipment in another industry and are looking to take the next step in your career and use your experience in a field service role supporting customers?

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer for our BioAnalytics department at Sartorius LPS Service Department. In this role, you will be responsible for installation, qualification, preventative maintenance and repair of Bioanalytics systems such as Incucyte, Octet, iQue and CellCelector on customer sites mainly in the Oxfordshire area whilst delivering excellent customer service. On occasions you will be required to travel to other sites in the UK, Ireland, Nordics and possibly Europe.

The team consists of 7 Engineers, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.

This position is available full time. You will be working in the field and ideally living near Oxford, Reading, Slough or Swindon area.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

  • On a daily basis you will be responsible for providing services and customer support during field visits

  • You will manage installation, qualification (IQ,OQ,PQ), preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs for Bioanalytics systems

  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and mechanical systems, assist with resolving IT issues and software updates related to the instruments

  • You will produce timely and detailed reports for equipment

  • Follow the company’s procedures and policies as well as ISO and GMP standards on customer sites

  • You will work closely with the technical team such as Field Application Specialist, Technical Sales Specialist, Technical Support Engineer and Sales team and share information across the organisation

  • Closely collaborate with Service Schedulers and the Service Support team

  • Do you enjoy building relationship with customers? You will improve customer satisfaction; help maximise customer retention whilst providing excellent customer service

What will convince us

  • You may have completed a HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Electromechanics or related discipline

  • You may have experience, servicing, repairing or maintaining advanced or capital equipment in a regulated environment, however training will be provided

  • You may have field service experience working in the pharmaceutical, biological, or chemical industry following GMP or ISO standards in a similar role though candidates from other industries will also be considered (manufacturing, electronics etc.)

  • Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised

  • Ability to test, troubleshoot and service technical equipment

  • Ability to work flexibility and efficiently and to adapt quickly to changing work schedules

  • Willingness to travel

  • Strong customer service skills and great communication skills

  • Full UK driving licence
