Daikin Applied Quality Technician in Owatonna, Minnesota

This is a 2nd shift position supporting operations 4:30pm-1:00am Summary: Performs inspection, test, and evaluation procedures on materials, parts, subassemblies, completed units, manufacturing processes and procedures, equipment, machinery, and tooling to maintain and improve product quality by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Understand and adhere to company Quality Control procedures, as related to overall inspection requirements. Cooperate with production personnel and supervision to ensure the maximum of production with the optimum of quality, as established by management. Inspect incoming, in-process, and outgoing material, parts, and assemblies to specifications and blueprints following standard shop practice and/or special instructions. Train other employees in day-to-day procedures. Utilize quality tools such as Fishbone Diagram, 3 Legged 5 Why, and 8D methodology. Support and participate in the quality clinic activities. Determine controls necessary to maintain consistent quality level. Dispose of rejected material. Direct repairs and deviated corrections as required. Generate inspection reports and analysis. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required. 2 years vocational or technical degree preferred. 3 years+ related experience or training preferred.
