NY 1497475 Hotel Maintenance Worker Full &Part Time

Broadwell Hospitality Group is looking for both full time and part time Hotel Maintenance Workers.

The Maintenance Worker/ Groundskeeper is responsible for the maintenance of the landscaping of various company properties. This individual would also be responsible for some general maintenance tasks and repairs.

Responsibilities Include - Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers and foliage. - Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing and removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls. - Spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees. - Mow and edge all lawns. - Assist in responding to all guest and staff needs.
- Performs elementary painting and repairing of walls, furniture, cabinets, and windows, doors locks and keys.
- Performs minor electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Performs minor repairs on fans and air conditioners.
- Performs routine plumbing repairs.
- Performs rough carpentry work. - Performs grounds work, landscaping, and snow removal
- Assists in administration of special maintenance programs.
- Assists in maintenance of departmental tools, workspaces, and equipment.
- Know/observes safety precautions and fire safety procedures and emergency action plans and use of fire control/alarm systems and extinguishers.
- Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times - Stay current on all emergency procedures and acts accordingly - Wear proper uniform and name tag at all times in accordance with the standards of appearance - Attend department meetings - Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the Employee Handbook

Education - High school diploma/GED (on-the-job training and experience combination may substitute for education requirement)

Experience - Prior landscaping/ maintenance experience

Requirements - Ability to lift 75+ pounds frequently, be able to stand for long periods of time - Can work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate $15.00-$20.00
