This Sr Project Manager role would be part of our Business Technology Platforms group, which is responsible for the products and platforms that support Disney’s corporate business functions. This role will directly be responsible for managing multiple enterprise-level projects within the Appian platform, supporting application delivery for our Corporate Disney Global Policy standards services.

This is an estimated 30-month project hire placement, with no guarantee of permanent placement

What You Will Do

  • Drive & deliver projects within our Appian Engineering teams through complete lifecycle, ensuring results, milestones, and forecasts are accurately met

  • Own deep technical knowledge of the Appian Platform, being a subject matter resource for team members

  • Build relationships with key partners to ensure vision, objectives, scale, and outcomes are met

  • Review financial impact of various projects, ensuring budgetary responsibilities are met

  • Work with 3rd party vendors to align as required

  • Update leadership teams on project statuses, performance, and elevating concerns as needed

  • Facilitate project team meetings to ensure roadmaps are followed

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years experience as a project manager leading technology efforts

  • Strong experience within Appian in one or more domains (workplace service platforms, Network and Infrastructure, Datacenter, etc.)

  • Exposure to modern software development and infrastructure tools, processes, and practices (Jira/Confluence, Agile, Cloud, DevOps, Data Management, SaaS/PaaS)

  • Experience with program & PM tools (ServiceNow, PPM, Clarity, Smartsheet), as well as a clear understanding of Agile ceremonies

  • Proven track record developing, managing, and delivering software projects on time & budget, while communicating with wide varieties of teams and leadership

  • Ability to lead project meetings and workshops – driving commitments, accountability, and results

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related certification/s (Appian Platform, PMI, Scrum, Program or Project Management, etc.)

  • Masters Degree in a related field
