ASM Global Change Over Laborer- Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California

Position Title: Changeover Labor

Department: Event Services

Reports To: Changeover Lead or Changeover Manager

Classification: Part-time/On-call

Compensation: $20.00 an hour

Position Summary: Under direction, set up and take down meeting rooms, ballrooms, and exhibit halls.

Essential Functions:

  • Participates in Event set-ups and strikes, including but not limited to, chairs, tables, riser/stages, reader boards, stanchions, lecterns, piano, office furniture and equipment, etc.

  • Cleans equipment when necessary.

  • Makes recommendations for the improvement of all phases of the facility operation.

  • Works safely at all times, notifying the Lead or Supervisor immediately of any accidents/incidents.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Experience/Training/Education:

    Required: None

    Desirable: Previous experience in a similar line of work

    License/Certificate:

    Prefer forklift certificate

    Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

    Knowledge of:

    Safe work practices

    Ability to:

    Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing using the English language

    Receive direction both verbally and in writing and follow those directions precisely

    Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during the workday

    Skill to:

    Operate radio devices

    Physical and Environmental Requirements:

    This position requires lifting at least 50lbs. without assistance for 40% of the workday; walking for long distances for more than 50% of the workday; sitting, bending, and stooping will be required; subject to adverse conditions; irregular hours will be required.
