Adecco is recruiting for a Shipping Assistant in Oceanside This job is a temp-to-hire opportunity with pay starting at $18 an hour.

As a Shipping Assistant, you will oversee our company's shipping operations which include processing shipments, monitoring packaging, labeling completed orders, and troubleshooting carrier errors.

*Responsibilities include but are not limited to: *

  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, creating labels, and packing lists.

  • Update databases and tracking delivery status.

  • Package goods to ensure safe delivery by applying labels, strapping pallets, and shrink-wrapping items.

  • Coordinate freight transportation with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, or Starship.

  • Call clients to confirm shipment details and other pertinent information.

  • Prepare shipping orders, arrange pickup and delivery dates, times, and addresses.

  • Provide customer service to clients by answering questions and resolving problems regarding shipping arrangements.

  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing documents and answering phones.

  • Read and understand shipping documents, packing lists and other paperwork to ensure you send the correct items to the correct locations.

  • Organize and label packages correctly to ensure they arrive at their destination.

Qualifications:

  • 6 months to 1 years of warehouse, shipping and receiving experience

  • Knowledge of Shipping Software (Starship, FedEx, and UPS WorldShip) is a plus

  • Knowledge of logistics, shipping documentation, and shipping industry regulations is a plus

  • Knowledge of Outlook and Excel is preferred

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
