F. L. Crane & Sons, Inc. an employee-owned specialty contractor with over 75 years of experience covering a wide range of finishing, metal panel systems and custom crating. We are based out of Fulton MS and operate 14 divisions throughout the southeastern part of the US. We pride ourselves on our family culture, dedication to innovation, and maintaining the highest standards in the industry.

  • Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints.

  • Smooth out imperfections.

  • Fill joints in-between panels with spackle.

  • Press paper tape into compound.

  • Smooth away excess material.

  • Cover nail and screw depressions with spackle.

  • Apply second and third coats of compound. Sand areas after each coast.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Fasten drywall panels to the inside framework of building as needed.

  • Prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes in panels for electrical outlets, air conditioning units, and plumbing as needed.

Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to finish drywall.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.

  • Ability to work independently and with a work crew.

  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools required for installing drywall.
