JOB REQUIREMENTS: IT Help Desk Technician Location US-WI-Madison \| US-WI-Oak Creek Job ID 2024-4195 Type Regular Full-Time # Positions 1 Category Information Services Overview The IT Help Desk Technician will provide support to users of the organization\'s technical products or services. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our employees have seamless access to technology, resolving problems promptly and will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person. Identify, investigate, and research technical problems. Manage IT tickets by responding to requests, updating tickets, and escalating when necessary. Collaborate with IT team to analyze existing workflows and propose solutions for continuous process improvement. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues. Walk users through problem-solving steps and provide clear instructions. Install, configure, and maintain computer system applications. Assist in the setup and maintenance of IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices. Document technical issues, solutions, and processes for future references. Stay up to date with advancements in technology. Collaborate with the IT team members to implement and improve IT processes and procedures. Occasional travel up to 10% of time. Other duties/responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Associates degree in computer science or information technology preferred. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite. Knowledge of basic networking concepts. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of security best practice and ability to implement.
