Eaton Corporation Electronics Engineer (Manufacturing) Intern - 13 Month Placement in Nottingham, United Kingdom

Eaton in Sutton has an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineer (manufacturing). The Intern Electronics Engineer in Manufacturing will be involved in the production of manufacturing information for CCTV Cameras and Signaling products to support production functions in conjunction with a Senior Engineer who will act as a mentor for the duration of the internship.

What you’ll do:

  • To contribute, be involved and actively support the continuous improvement process within every facet of the organization.

  • To contribute, be involved and actively support any supplementary activities required as part of the Eaton internship for example charity or wellness events.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to produce electrical layouts for CCTV cameras, Signalling and associated sub-assemblies and components.

  • Produce electrical designs that are compliant with and conform to, all relevant Codes of Practice, Company and Industry Standards and create Parts Lists/Bills of Materials.

  • Provide technical support during the build, testing and commissioning project phases.

  • Working closely with Supply chain team to identify alternate components and testing when required.

  • Supporting all value streams in regard to the production of manufacturing packs, test specifications and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Studying for Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering

Skills:

  • Computer literate – office applications & internet

  • Able to work independently

  • Demonstrates ability to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrates a high level of motivation, flexibility and team spirit

  • Demonstrates attention to detail

  • Can-do attitude
