Job Summary

As an Embedded Electronics and TestTechnician, you will assist in designing, testing, and maintaining engineering projects. You will also provide technical support to team members to ensure timely and budgeted project completion.

Job Description (Primary Responsibilities)

  • Collaborating with team members on various projects, developing new products, and designing/building fixtures
  • Performing investigative data collection and analysis and documentation of test results.
  • Verifying and validating that our products meet design specifications and intended performance.
  • Performing rework where needed and building prototypes of new products.
  • Maintaining lab equipment and managing the engineering labs.

Additional Job Description

  • Using Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers and other Electronic Test Equipment.
  • Understanding the fundamentals of digital and analog electronic circuits.
  • Performing SMT rework, micro-component soldering and device replacement on multi-layer circuit boards.
  • Creating or modifying test scripts or other test software for system debug.

Requirements

  • Experience implementing maintenance schedules and procedures, assisting with lab management, and following safety regulations.
  • Understanding of validation testing with ability to follow test plans and document results.
  • Skilled at detailed assembly work and a wide range of tools and lab equipment.
  • Able to troubleshoot hardware failures to identify the root cause.
  • Able to apply best-practice engineering principles in a lab environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The base pay for this position ranges from $26.00 per hour up to $40.00 per hour depending on the geographic market.
  • Dependent on the position offered, annual bonuses and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the compensation package.
