PeopleReady Heavy Equipment Operator in North Chesterfield, Virginia

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators that are self-sufficient. The equipment operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient install of piles. Experience with forklifts and skid steers is a plus. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience operating heavy equipment on commercial or industrial sites, be dependable, takes initiative, is self sufficient, and willing to learn.

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this job is $18 - $22 / hour

Responsibilities:

  • Review drawings for technical specifications and tolerances.

  • Perform accurate material take offs.

  • Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.

  • Perform daily maintenance and conducts pre-operational checks on equipment.

  • Install quality piles (quality over quantity everyday).

  • Assist with material offload and material management.

  • Able to assist with post refusal remediation work.

  • Promote and comply with federal, state and company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • OSHA Certified or willingness to obtain

  • Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience

  • Ability to read detailed mechanical drawings

  • Knowledge of post install tolerances, how to set up string-line and shoot in lasers (pipe lasers and multiplane lasers)

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
