Predicate Logic is looking for a motivatedSubmarine Shore Communications Field Service Representativeto join our team atCOMSUBLANT in Norfolk, VA.

Predicate Logic also has offices in Chesapeake, Virginia, specializing in communications engineering, training, and Cybersecurity, and Charleston, South Carolina, supporting the Navy and Marine Corps programs through the Naval Information Warfare Center Charleston.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Applicant must be eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist fleet personnel afloat and ashore in troubleshooting and repair of serial and IP-based communications systems and networks.
  • Act as the liaison to the appropriate In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) to ensure problems that cannot be corrected locally are resolved by outside personnel.
  • Develop/provide test and evaluation support for new concepts, System Operational Verification Test (SOVT), and other test events requiring networking expertise. Assist government personnel in maintaining strict configuration control of current architectures.
  • Participate in Submarine Shore Computer and Communications Systems Engineering Reviews and provide technical representation at meetings as required.
  • Provide network and system administration of the Submarine Shore Computer and Communications Systems.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of hands-on experience with Military Communications, including RF paths providing IP network connectivity.
  • First-hand experience desired in the following areas:
    • CISCO Router / Switch configuration and troubleshooting
    • Microsoft Domain and Virtual Server Administration
    • Configuration and troubleshooting of Military Communications Systems and other submarine-specific transmit and receive equipment
    • Configuration and troubleshooting of Cryptographic Devices (for example. KG-175 TACLANE series, KIV-7 Series, and KG-333)

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Technical Training in Information Technology, Electronics Information Systems (EIS), Electronics Technology, Cyber Security.
  • Must have Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) Information Assurance Technician Level II (IAT II) certification per DoD instructions.
