ManTech Senior Systems Analyst -Afloat Maintenance in Norfolk, Virginia

We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to provide essential support to the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) N43 staff. This is an On-Site Position.

Summary:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and expertise in Navy Surface Ship Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul processes and programs. The role involves analyzing maintenance and operational system data, evaluating training adequacy, and facilitating effective communications within large groups. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in afloat system operation and excellent soft skills for successful collaboration and staff work.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Navy Surface Ship Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul processes and programs.

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of maintenance and operational system data, assessing training adequacy and recommending improvements.

  • Facilitate meetings with large groups, create meeting agendas and minutes, and lead outreach communications efforts such as newsletters and email updates.

  • Possess knowledge of Navy 3M program (PMS) and Conditioned Based Maintenance (CBM).

  • Understand afloat system operation with an overall comprehension of shipboard equipment.

  • Utilize technical skills associated with outcome-based Navy maintenance processes.

  • Collaborate effectively with echelon I, II, and III commands, demonstrating an understanding of Navy organizations and working relationships.

  • Analyze documented deficiencies, including Casualty Reports (CASREP) and work notifications produced by Maintenance Data Systems, to determine equipment and mission limitations.

  • Maintain proficiency in information technology software such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least ten (10) years of recent experience in Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot maintenance of U.S. Navy ships/submarines, including specific experience with legacy maintenance data systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in afloat leadership positions.

  • O-Level experience training afloat maintenance accomplishment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing requirements.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an actively current Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.

  • Occasional movement within the office for communication and accessing resources.
