As part of the sales planning and enablement team, the Sales Compensation Manager role leads all sales compensation and quota setting initiatives including strategic design, execution, analysis and communication of projects. This person will be an expert in using compensation programs to reward and motivate the sales organization while also driving growth. S/he will understand how to balance investment in compensation to align with growth plans and a strong financial outcome. The manager will be analytical, use data to make sound business decisions, and be able to influence outcomes at different levels of the organization.

You’ll make significant contributions in the following areas:

  • Develops process and project plans that adhere to strict timelines and deadlines

  • Identifies cross-functional partners for plan development

  • Designs plans that align with strategic imperatives and objectives to drive revenue growth

  • Assumes role of subject matter expert for sales compensation application (Xactly) and maximizes its value

  • Creates tools and resources for team and field to track and optimize plan performance

  • Communicates and collaborates across functional organization with professional capability

  • Manages plan, payout structure and timelines

  • Develops governance process and committee to ensure fair standards incorporated based on business dynamics

  • Stays abreast of industry insights and innovations as related to incentive programs, processes, analytical tools and methods

  • Works closely with sales, finance and marketing leadership to establish quota plans aligned to anticipated growth and performance

  • Build plan documentation and distributes to the sales team while aligning with the sales leaders

  • Provides insight to sales organizational inquiry process (sales support cases) - prioritize tickets, derive overall data issues or theme, and work with the data team to bring solutions

  • Manages sales compensation and analytics team members o Review call cycles, expense reports, and ensure activities are consistent with Company policies and plans and established budgets

    What you’ll need .

  • BS or equivalent from accredited university

  • 8+ years in data operations & business analytics

  • 3-5 year’s experience managing sales compensation

  • Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and research skills

  • Strong presentation development and presentation communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to use data to troubleshoot and problem solve

  • Familiarity with data management platforms

  • Proficiency in data analytics and tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, Visual Basics, programming languages, etc.)

  • Strong organization and prioritization capabilities

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Experience in sales tracings and/or chargeback in Pharma or Medical device industry

  • Experience building compensation tools and resources for field sales.
