We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized application developer to join our team. In this position, you will use your skills with Python, Matlab and C++ to create and maintain applications in support of our customer onboard NSWC Corona.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The position requires working collaboratively with government personnel to troubleshoot, develop and maintain applications across multiple platforms as well as develop GUI applications in support of the US Navy.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field.

Proven experience as an Application Developer with 5+ years of experience providing the following :

Experience with C++ (Object-oriented programming (OOP) language):

  • Binary and ASCII data extraction and processing.

  • Object Oriented Programming (OOP).

  • Memory management.

  • Parallel programming and multithreading.

  • Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) programming.

Experience with Python (High-level programming language for developing applications and task automation):

  • Object Oriented Programming (OOP).

  • Memory management.

  • Parallel programming and multithreading.

  • Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) programming.

  • Machine learning techniques and packages.

Experience with Matlab (Programming language and numeric computing environment):

  • Developing for and using MATLAB Parallel Server.

  • Developing for and deploying to MATLAB Production Server.

  • Memory management.

  • Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) programming.

Experience with Container Technology.

  • Deploying C++, Python, and MATLAB applications on Red Hat OpenShift.

Experience with application testing:

  • Unit testing

  • Integration testing

  • System testing

  • Acceptance testing

Experience developing cross platform (Windows/Linux) applications.

Experience developing graphical user interface (GUI) applications.

Experience with the Git version control system.
