Job Description Summary

As a member of Engineering Team, you will be responsible for basic & detail engineering activities for mechanical bought-out equipment like Fans, Oxidation blowers, Dewatering system, Pumps, compressed air system etc for execution of Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) and Clean Combustion projects.

Job Description

Your Role/ Responsibilities

  • Preparation & Review of the basic design specification for Mechanical equipment (including bought outs) like Fans, Oxidation blowers, Dewatering system, Pumps, compressed air system etc

  • Review & Technical Evaluation of the vendor’s detail drawings

  • Technical support and coordination during fabrication, equipment inspection & erection stages.

  • Accountable for Quality reviews, control & checking for deliverables under his responsibility on project.

  • Ensures compliance to Standards & Codes mentioned in the contract.

  • Ensures On-Time Delivery, Right First Time, First Time Yield, DMP for the projects being handled.

  • Responsible to execute the activities within the project schedule / milestones and the budgeted man-hours.

  • Assist Project Management in technical discussions with all stakeholders including Customers.

  • Ensure standardization of specification, calculation templates and development of database.

  • Assist Discipline Head for the continuous improvement and deployment of working procedures, best practices and projects feedback.

  • Ensure implementation Lessons Learned from previous projects

  • Proactively follow-up & do the input management to track and trace documents and material through the document management team, expediting team and MTA system.

  • Participate in design review and design freeze meeting and ensure the corrective actions defined by the design review are closed on time.

  • Ensure a coordinated approach in all areas with the other engineering activities / disciplines.

  • Support to tender team as per requirement.

  • Support to standardization/cost out effort

  • Support Automation and digitization

Basic Qualifications

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with excellent academic track record

  • Minimum 3-5 years of basic & detailed engineering experience in power, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Pollution Control or similar type of industries.

  • Experience with rotating equipment like Fans, Oxidation blowers, Dewatering system, Pumps, compressed air system etc

  • Knowledge / experience of Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of International and Indian Standards related to Mechanical static & rotary equipment

  • Demonstrate good interpersonal relationship skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Must be open to travel as per project requirement

Desired Qualification

  • Knowledge / Experience on Air Quality Control Systems like Electrostatic Precipitators, Fabric Filter, Flue Gas Desulfurization.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities
